Job Title: 220 Licensed Insurance Agent
Job Description: We are looking to add a Commercial Lines Insurance Agent. This is a long- term, uncapped commission payments (New businesses and Renewals), on site position.
Reports to: General Manager
What are the Critical Tasks & Responsibilities?
• Grow the Agency and Personal Book of Business.
• Upon request from underwriters, processes cancellations, declinations and reissues of policies.
• Upon request from underwriters, may review underwriting requirements and may recommend acceptance or denial utilizing preset procedures.
• Educate customers on each type of insurance coverage and make recommendations based on their needs.
• Evaluate current insurance policies and recommend additional coverage when needed.
• Input quotes and policy renewals for customers.
• Network and build business referral relationships.
• Maintain all insurance documents in a confidential way.
What are the Competencies and Qualifications for this job (technical, academic, experience, values, behaviors)?
Required:
• Proven working experience as an Insurance Agent with a verifiable Book of Business.
• High School or BS degree.
• 220 Florida Insurance License.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of database software and Management Systems.
• Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
